Fire in Boon Keng Rd flat

Four adults and a child from the affected unit were treated by paramedics on site due to smoke inhalation. 

SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at a flat on the 14th floor of Block 3B Upper Boon Keng Road at about 6.20 pm on Wednesday (Aug 20).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said a fire engine, two Red Rhinos, three ambulances and three support vehicles were dispatched to the scene. The fire was confined to one bedroom in the flat and was put out in 10 minutes.

Four adults and a child from the affected unit were treated by paramedics on site due to smoke inhalation. SCDF adds that investigations are ongoing on the cause of the fire.
