Former MM Lee Kuan Yew in hospital recovering from infection

Former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is in hospital recovering from an infection. A statement from his office on Tuesday said Mr Lee has been in Singapore General Hospital since Sunday with a fever and a bad cough.

SINGAPORE: Former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is in hospital recovering from an infection.

A statement from his office on Tuesday said Mr Lee has been in Singapore General Hospital since Sunday with a fever and a bad cough.

He is currently on antibiotics and recovering, and he has been advised by his doctors to avoid public appearances.

Mr Lee will not be attending the Tanjong Pagar GRC Lunar New Year Dinner on Tuesday evening.

The statement said Mr Lee wishes all Tanjong Pagar residents and Singaporeans a happy Lunar New Year.
