SINGAPORE: Phase 2A (2) of the Primary 1 registration exercise ended on Tuesday (July 15).
There are a total of seven phases in the registration process. Phase 2A (2) is the third, and is for children whose parents or siblings are former students or school staff.
At Tuesday's closing, five schools were oversubscribed.
Henry Park Primary and Nan Hua Primary have exceeded the vacancies available by 13 places. CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls’ School is oversubscribed by 10 places, while Radin Mas Primary exceeded its vacancy by 7 places.
Those four schools will conduct balloting for Singapore Citizen children living outside two kilometres of the schools.
Yu Neng Primary will not undergo balloting as it has places for all Singapore Citizen children under this phase.
However, schools like Catholic High and Nanyang Primary still have five or fewer vacancies at the end of this phase.
Results of Phase 2A (2) will be known on Thursday (July 17). It will be the first time balloting for places will have to be done at this point.
