SINGAPORE: Geylang Polyclinic has launched its physiotherapy service to provide better care for patients in the community, reducing the need to refer them to hospitals.

It is the second polyclinic under the SingHealth Polyclinics to offer the service, after Tampines Polyclinic which started the service last November.

SingHealth Polyclinics said patients requiring physiotherapy for musculoskeletal problems will be seen for pain management and functional rehabilitation.

They would receive treatments such as heat therapy, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction and therapeutic exercise.
