SINGAPORE: All Singaporean and Permanent Resident (PR) households will soon receive details on how to collect their SG Funpacks, announced the People's Association (PA) on Wednesday (Jun 10).
The National Day Parade Executive Committee had announced that all Singaporean and PR households will receive an SG Funpack each, to mark the Republic's 50th birthday.
Postcards will be mailed to the households, and residents will need to retain them to exchange for the Funpacks. From next week, residents will also receive a letter with detailed information on how to collect their SG Funpacks, said PA.
Grassroots leaders may make special arrangements to deliver the Funpacks to residents with needs, including vulnerable seniors, seniors living alone and non-ambulant residents, said PA. It added that those with enquiries can contact their local Community Clubs. The contact details will be available on the letters and postcards.
As part of the Committee's push to include all local residents in the celebration of the country's jubilee year, it is distributing not just NDP Funpacks at the parade, but also SG Funpacks to those watching at home. About 1.2 million SG Funpacks will be distributed.
Both versions of the goodie bags will contain the commemorative figurine of the Singa Lion, nostalgic snacks and games, and other celebratory items, but the NDP Funpack will include more food and drink, publications as well as interactive items like a face tattoo and LED balloon maraca, for Parade spectators.
