The stamp set celebrates the “unique traits, values and characteristics of Singaporeans and this island we call home”, Singapore Post says.
SINGAPORE: A set of 15 local stamps, featuring familiar images signifying National Service and of Changi Airport’s control tower, among others, will go on sale from Monday (Aug 4) to celebrate Singapore’s 49 years of independence.

The first set of stamps – with the theme Our Journey Together – was released in August last year, showcasing examples of what Singaporeans have shared, overcome and achieved together as a nation.
This year’s set will be available at all post offices, the Singapore Philatelic Museum and online.
Besides the 15 1st Local stamps, other stamp products of this issue include the Miniature Sheet, the Pre-cancelled First Day Cover affixed with the complete set of stamps, the Pre-cancelled First-Day Cover affixed with Miniature Sheet, and the Presentation Pack with a complete set of stamps and a miniature sheet.
