M1 fibre broadband network down for two hours

M1 has confirmed a disruption to its fibre broadband network, following complaints from some customers on its Facebook page.

SINGAPORE: M1 has confirmed a disruption to its fibre broadband network, following complaints from some customers on its Facebook page.

Customers reported they were unable to access M1's fibre broadband services for nearly two hours from 11am on Wednesday.

There were also complaints that they could not get through to the telco's customer service hotline.

M1 posted a statement on its Facebook page at 12pm, apologising for the inconvenience and saying it was rectifying the issue.

About 45 minutes later, it put out another post on Facebook, saying that services had been restored and advising customers to reset their optical network terminating equipment.

The telco blamed the service disruption on a technical glitch.
