The 25-year-old man accused of decapitating a 33-year-old woman will be remanded further for psychiatric evaluation. Indian national Gursharan Singh was charged with the murder of Jasvinder Kaur, also an Indian national.
SINGAPORE: The 25-year-old man accused of decapitating a 33-year-old woman will be remanded further for psychiatric evaluation.
On 20 December, Indian national Gursharan Singh was charged in court with the murder of Jasvinder Kaur, also an Indian national.
He is accused of committing the murder at 228A Balestier Road between 10 December and 12 December.
Gursharan is alleged to have committed the offence with the woman's husband, 33-year-old Indian national Harvinder Singh.
Authorities are currently looking for the woman's husband to assist with police investigations.
The police were notified at about 7.30am on 12 December of a body in the canal near Blk 110 McNair Road.
They found the deceased's head missing and both hands were severed from the wrists.
