The PM’s National Day Message will be broadcast in four languages on Aug 8 across MediaCorp’s television channels, radio stations and on Toggle.
SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Message will be broadcast on Friday (Aug 8), the eve of National Day, across MediaCorp’s television channels, radio stations and on Toggle.
The Prime Minister’s message in English will be televised on Channel NewsAsia at 6.45pm, okto at 8.45pm and Channel 5 at 10pm. The message will be subtitled for the hearing-impaired. The message in English can also be heard on MediaCorp radio station 938LIVE at 7.35pm.
It will also be broadcast in Mandarin, Malay and Tamil on TV and radio – Mr Lim Swee Say, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, will deliver the message in Mandarin; Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, and the Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, will deliver the message in Malay; Mr S Iswaran, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, and the Second Minister for Home Affairs and for Trade and Industry will deliver the message in Tamil.
The National Day Message on the four language platforms, Channel 5, Channel 8, Suria and Vasantham will be simulcast on Toggle, which is available on multiple devices including smartphones, tablets and connect TVs.

The text and video clips of the National Day Message in four languages will be available online Aug 8 at Channel NewsAsia’s website after its first television broadcast. Video clips will be available from Aug 9 on Toggle and XinMSN Catch-Up TV.
