MediaCorp will carry the Commonwealth Games free on okto channel. Daily highlights of the Games will also be screened on digital screens in eight shopping malls.
SINGAPORE: The World Cup is over, and the next sporting event is the Commonwealth Games.
MediaCorp and SingTel mio TV will broadcast the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games from July 23 to August 3. MediaCorp will carry the Games, comprising 17 sports, free on okto channel.
Viewers on the go can also catch the events live on Toggle, which is MediaCorp's interactive platform.
Daily highlights of the Games will also be screened on digital screens in eight shopping malls, including Bugis Street, ION Orchard, JCube and Westgate. The other malls are Chinatown Point, Junction 8, Orchard Gateway and The Star Vista.
Bernard Lim, managing director of Television at MediaCorp, said: "Actually with our coverage for the Commonwealth Games, it demonstrates once again MediaCorp's commitment, continued commitment as Singapore's national broadcaster, to bring landmark sporting content to our audience here."
SingTel will also dedicate six HD channels to round-the-clock coverage of the Games on its pay TV platform, SingTel mio TV, and its companion mobile app, mio TV Go.
