Military exercises from next Monday: MINDEF

The Singapore Armed Forces and Republic of Singapore Air Force will be conducting military exercises, including live firing, from July 14 onwards, according to the Ministry of Defence.

SINGAPORE: From next Monday (July 14), the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will be conducting a series of military exercises across the island.

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) issued an advisory on Friday stating that the SAF will conduct military exercises in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, Mandai from 8am on July 14 to 8am on July 21.

There will also be live firing exercises in Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live Firing Area from 8am on July 14 to 8am on July 21. Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits during that period are to keep within the 75-metre Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the Live Firing Boundary, the advisory stated.

Meanwhile, the RSAF will be conducting live firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang from July 14 to July 18 daily from 7am to 11pm and July 19 from 8am to 1pm. Flares will be released during the night firing and the public is advised to keep clear from the training area, MINDEF said.

For the upcoming National Day Parade, the RSAF will also conduct flying activities in the vicinity of the Marina Bay at the following timings:
