More than 900 school staff now CPR, AED certified

At least 900 administrative staff, teachers and principals were CPR and AED certified on Friday (July 4). That means they know how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

SINGAPORE: At least 900 administrative staff, teachers and principals were CPR and AED certified on Friday (July 4). That means they know how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

The Singapore Heart Foundation organised the first CPR and AED certification course for staff from local schools.

Participants took turns to go for half-day training sessions at Bishan Community Club.

Nursing students from Nanyang Polytechnic have been assisting with the training sessions. The participants are given theory and practical lessons before they get hands on experience.

After completing the session, each participant will receive a kit that includes a teaching DVD and a mannequin.
