SINGAPORE: Singaporeans keen on video gaming have something new to look forward to. A newly-opened gaming concept promises players a 5D experience.
This gaming concept -- first rolled out in Hong Kong last year -- has come to Singapore.
John Teng, general manager of Freeing SG, said: "This is a whole new form of entertainment. To bring it to Singapore, we have to make sure the locals appreciate this form of gaming.
"We actually did a lot of market research, so this is one thing that the locals are looking forward to."
The game is 5-dimensional. Players use their four senses -- except taste -- to get a first-person experience in the game.
Mr Teng said the game caters to all the different age groups.
In the game rooms, players can put their wits to the test. Each of the four rooms has a different theme and a plot that is mixed with horror, mystery and suspense.
By October, there will be 10 game rooms for players to choose from.
To keep customers in thrall, the themes in the game rooms will be reviewed every six months.
The company aims to have up to five outlets in Singapore and at least 50 in Southeast Asia.
