New integrated development in Yishun to be ready by 2018

Called Northpoint City, the new development will house a community club in the shopping mall, and include an air-conditioned bus interchange.

SINGAPORE: Yishun residents can expect a new integrated development - Northpoint City - in their neighbourhood by 2018.

Unveiled on Friday (Aug 1) at an exhibition launched by Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam, Northpoint City will include 920 private residential units and house the largest mall in the northern region of Singapore. It will also have a town plaza equivalent to the size of 10 basketball courts and feature the first community club in a shopping mall, said developer Frasers Centrepoint in a press release.

Additionally, the development will house an air-conditioned bus interchange and a direct underpass leading to Yishun MRT station, according to the statement.

Besides helming this development, Frasers Centrepoint also developed and currently manages Northpoint Shopping Centre.
