Number of dengue cases on the rise

The number of dengue cases reported has been on an upward trend over the past five weeks.

SINGAPORE: The number of dengue cases reported has been on an upward trend over the past five weeks and it is expected to continue climbing amid the current dry weather.

There were 261 dengue cases reported from May 4 to May 10. This jumped to 461 for the week June 1 to June 7.

The Ministry of Health has warned private clinics located in areas with more than 10 cases to keep a close eye on developments.

Some clinics say they have bought more detection kits to meet demand for dengue tests.
