Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong stresses the importance of bilateral cooperation as he calls on Malaysia's king.
SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong called on the Malaysian King Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah today (May 20). The Malaysian head of state is in Singapore for a three-day state visit.
The leaders stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation, and the need to deepen people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Earlier today, the Agong and his wife visited the Gardens by the Bay.
He also had an orchid hybrid "Aranda Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah" named after him at the Botanic Gardens.
The couple was accompanied by President Tony Tan Keng Yam's wife, Mrs Mary Tan.
