SINGAPORE: The President's Star Charity show this year focuses on "the little things" and how these can make a big difference to your day.
This year's theme aims to show how simple acts of kindness can brighten up someone's day.
The annual entertainment show-cum-fund raiser will be shown on Channel 5 from 7.30pm on October 20.
Donations raised will go to 55 different beneficiaries.
Actress Joanne Peh is hosting the show for the first time this year.
She will be joined on stage finalists from the reality singing competition "The Final 1", footballers from the "First XI" show, and also British singer-songwriter Rick Astley.
And this year's theme resonates deeply with her.
Ms Peh said: "I do feel very personal about this theme because… like a charity show where we are trying to send the message where every little bit counts, every little effort makes a difference. Sometimes that little message or even a smiley face makes a whole lot of difference. It's one of those things that I hope we can practise not just at a charity show, but in our daily life as well."
