Puddin' it on record: Singapore's longest bread and butter pudding

32 chefs whipped up Singapore's largest bread and butter pudding for charity.

SINGAPORE: A massive feast for the eyes was unveiled at the Royal Plaza on Scotts hotel for its 40th anniversary. Chefs whipped up Singapore's longest bread and butter pudding measuring a whopping 30 metres.

The sweet sensation took 32 chefs 55 hours, 50 loaves of bread, 220 litres of cream, 75 kilograms of eggs and 80 litres of milk to bake.

3,000 portions of the pudding were given out to the public, and in exchange, guests were encouraged to donate to charity. A total of S$2,618 was raised for Metta Preschool @ Punggol, a beneficiary of the Community Chest. The donations were matched dollar-for-dollar as part of the Care & Share Movement.
