Rise in dengue cases in Circuit Road and Circuit Link

A total of 43 cases were detected in the area over the past two weeks, attracting the attention of the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Town Council.

SINGAPORE: There has been an increase in the number of dengue cases in Circuit Road and Circuit Link.

A total of 43 cases were detected in the area over the past two weeks, attracting the attention of the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Town Council.

The Marine Parade Town Council has stepped up enforcement in the area by doubling its manpower. Officers now conduct weekly visits instead of monthly checks.

Lift pits and the inside of lamp posts have been identified as potential breeding points.

MPs in the area said more house visits are being made to educate the public on dengue.

The number of dengue cases for this year currently stands at 11,329.
