SINGAPORE: Singapore can share its development experience with Jakarta, especially in the areas of urban management and good governance through the Singapore Cooperation Programme, said Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam on Wednesday.

The programme, which was established in 1992, is the primary platform through which Singapore offers technical assistance to other countries.

Mr Shanmugam discussed that possibility with Jakarta Vice-Governer Basuki Tjahaja Purnama during a two-day visit to Indonesia which ended on Wednesday.

They also discussed cooperation between the two countries and other developments in the Indonesian capital.

Mr Shanmugam also met with representatives from various political parties, as well as other individuals, and exchanged views on developments in Indonesia and the region.
