S'pore Trade Office in Taipei extends condolences following TransAsia crash

In a statement, Trade Representative Calvin Eu expressed his sympathies to the families of the victims and the people of Taiwan. 

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Trade Office in Taipei on Thursday (July 24)  issued a statement on TransAsia flight GE222, stating it was "deeply saddened" by the crash.

"Trade Representative Mr Calvin Eu extends his deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and the people of Taiwan. He hopes the survivors will recover soon," the statement said.  

The domestic TransAsia Airways flight was carrying 54 passengers and four crew members when it crashed in Magong in the Penghu island chain, with 10 survivors.
