Samantha Yom sails to second place at YOG

Competing in the women's Byte CII dinghy, 15-year-old Samantha came second and fifth in the event's first two races to be in second place overall.

SINGAPORE: Samantha Yom emerged the pick of Singapore's three young sailors at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.

Competing in the women's Byte CII dinghy, 15-year-old Samantha came second and fifth in the event's first two races to be in second place overall.

In the men's Byte CII, Bernie Chin will start his second day of competition tomorrow in 27th place after being flagged for a technical penalty on Monday (Aug 18).

Meanwhile, windsurfer Ynez Lim is 13th in the fleet of 21.
