Services 386 and 131M will be introduced, while services 123M and 123 will be enhanced under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme.
SINGAPORE: As part of the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), one new bus service will be introduced and an existing one will be enhanced this month.
According to a joint statement issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SBS Transit on Wednesday (Aug 6), there will be a new feeder Bus Service 386 for Punggol from Aug 17, while an extension will be made to the route and operating hours of supplementary Bus Service 123M from Aug 24.
Bus Service 386 will be introduced to connect residents at Edgefield Plains to Punggol MRT and Bus Interchange, and will operate daily from 5.45am to 12.35am.
The route of supplementary Bus Service 123M will be extended to operate between HarbourFront Bus Interchange and Tiong Bahru Road. Its operating hours will be extended from 5.50am to 12.05am from Mondays to Saturdays and from 6.05am to 12.05am on Sundays and Public Holidays.
SBS Transit said in a separate press release that enhancements to two other bus services will also take place in August.
Service 123 will have its route extended from Aug 24 to terminate at the HarbourFront Bus Interchange. With the extension, it will call at eight new bus stops along Lower Delta Road, Kampong Bahru Road and Telok Blangah Road.
A new supplementary service - 131M - will be rolled out from Aug 25 to supplement Service 131 during the morning and evening peak hours. This loop service will serve eight bus stops between the Bukit Merah Bus Interchange and Bukit Purmei Avenue. It will operate on weekdays, from 6.40am to 9.10am, as well as from 5.10pm to 7.50pm.
As service 131M will serve the same route as Service 275, the latter service will stop operating from Aug 25. Commuters who normally take that bus can take 131 or 131M instead.
