Twenty-eight NIE graduates to receive awards for exceptional achievements, including two who will receive the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal.
SINGAPORE: A total of 1,446 new and returning teachers will be joining the education service following their graduation from the National Institute of Education.
The graduates will receive their certificates during the Teachers' Investiture Ceremony over two days, Wednesday and Thursday (July 9 to 10), in the Nanyang Auditorium at the Nanyang Technological University.
Among the graduates, 28 of them are receiving awards for exceptional achievements. This includes Jasper Sim Hong, who attained First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Arts (Education), and Lim Li Cheng, who attained First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Science (Education). Both graduates received the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal for best performance in general proficiency throughout the programme of study.
