Shanmugam on 3-day visit to China from Thursday

Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam will meet Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on June 12, kicking off an official three-day visit to China.

SINGAPORE: Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam will meet Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on June 12, kicking off an official three-day visit to China.

Mr Shanmugam is also scheduled to meet Vice President Li Yuanchao, State Councillor Yang Jiechi, Supreme People's Court President Zhou Qiang and other senior Chinese officials.

He will also visit Shanghai and Suzhou, where he will visit the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park which marks its 20th anniversary this year.

This is Mr Shanmugam's third visit to China as Foreign Minister.
