Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam met with Indonesia's Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa in Bandung, Indonesia on Tuesday and reaffirmed relations between the two countries.
SINGAPORE: Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa in Bandung, Indonesia on Tuesday.
They reaffirmed the excellent ties and good cooperation between Singapore and Indonesia, said Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
The two ministers also discussed the annual Singapore-Indonesia Leaders' Retreat, among other regional issues, and reiterated their commitment to further strengthen Singapore-Indonesia ties.
Mr Shanmugam suggested that Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, lead a team of officials through the Singapore Cooperation Programme to better understand Singapore's experience in urban development.
He said this could help development in Bandung, and also strengthen ties between the two cities.
Mr Shanmugam will be in Jakarta on February 5, where he will meet with various Indonesian officials and personalities.
