Singapore delegation attends Hari Raya Open House in Brunei Darussalam

Senior Singapore leaders will visit Brunei from Tuesday to Saturday (July 29 to August 2) in conjunction with Hari Raya.

SINGAPORE: Senior Singapore leaders will visit Brunei from Tuesday to Saturday (July 29 to August 2) in conjunction with Hari Raya.

Led by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, the delegation includes Minister of State for National Development and Defence Dr Maliki Osman and Minister of State for Education and Communications & Information Sim Ann.

They will attend a Hari Raya Open House hosted by Brunei Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Badaruddin Othman, and celebrations hosted by several other Bruneian Ministers. The delegation will also visit the Istana Nurul Iman to convey the Hari Raya wishes of Singapore's leaders to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and his wife Hajah Saleha.

Senior Singapore leaders have joined in the Hari Raya celebrations in Brunei since 2012. Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry said these visits reflect the abiding friendship and warm relations between Singapore and Brunei.

In conjunction with Singapore's National Day, the delegation will also meet with the Singaporean community in Brunei at a National Day Get-Together on August 1.
