Singapore International Festival of Arts returns after one-year hiatus

The festival kicked off on Thursday (Aug 14) with Facing Goya, and offers a stellar line-up of productions till Sep 21. 

SINGAPORE: Arts lovers can expect a slew of local and international acts with the Singapore International Festival of Arts returning this week.

Kicking off the gala opening on Thursday (Aug 14) was a performance of Facing Goya, helmed by festival director Ong Keng Sen - one of ​the first public performances​ ​held at the newly-renovated Victoria Concert Hall.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife, Mrs Mary Tan, as well as Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Mr Lawrence Wong, attended the event.

The festival offers a stellar line-up of productions over six weekends, from now till Sep 21.
