SINGAPORE: With the Lunar New Year just around the corner, the horse takes centre stage at the Singapore Philatelic Museum.
From January 31, a special exhibition called "Horses for Courses" will celebrate the Year of the Horse in stamps.
More than 200 stamps and philatelic materials dating from the 1960s till today will be on display, as well as interactive exhibits showcasing cultures, stories and legends related to the horse.
A highlight of the exhibition is a Collector's Sheet which features the special technique of offset printing with metallic ink and UV varnish to reveal hidden images on the stamps.
The images are the preceding and succeeding zodiac animals -- the snake and goat.
Other highlights include 2014 zodiac stamps from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan.
The exhibition will be opened till August 26.
