Skills of ITE students showcased at annual fiesta

More than 8,000 people, including about 2,500 secondary school students, attended the ITE's annual fiesta on Sunday (Aug 24),held at ITE College West.

SINGAPORE: Amid the national push to develop structured career paths for Institute of Technical Education (ITE) graduates, the public on Sunday (Aug 24) got a glimpse of what these students can do.

More than 8,000 people, including about 2,500 secondary school students, attended the ITE's annual fiesta. Held at ITE College West, it showcased the wide array of courses offered by the various ITE centres.

One of the visitors was Health Minister Mr Gan Kim Yong, who is also MP for Chua Chu Kang GRC. He toured the booths that featured the students' work, along with fellow MPs Dr Amy Khor, Mr Alex Yam and Mr Zaqy Mohamad.

Mr Gan also presented family portrait photos to 14 needy recipient families which received makeovers and photography services from the institute as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.
