Skyline Luge Sentosa's new look

After renovation works costing over S$4 million, there are now wider aisles at the ticketing counters for easy navigation; sun-sheltered places are now five times more than what had been provided; railings are enhanced to meet the international amusement ride safety standards.

SINGAPORE: Skyline Luge Sentosa has unveiled a new look after an 18-month renovation.

After renovation works costing over S$4 million, there are now wider aisles at the ticketing counters for easy navigation; sun-sheltered places are now five times more than what had been provided; railings are enhanced to meet the international amusement ride safety standards.

Danny Luke, general manager of Skyline Luge Sentosa, said: "With the Amusement Ride Act that came in three years ago, there are codes to be met in terms of height of railings, distances from the ride, in terms of structures. So our ride has been designed and built with safety in mind."

Future plans include investing another S$2 million to build two more Luge tracks to complement the current two (Dragon Track and Jungle Track) over the next year.

The attraction is also in talks with Sentosa to bring in new adventure rides.

Since it started in Singapore in 2005, Skyline Luge Sentosa has hosted over 9 million rides.
