SINGAPORE: Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew said speeds along the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) and the East Coast Parkway (ECP) have improved.
In a Facebook post, Mr Lui said this has happened even though traffic volumes have returned to the levels prior to the December school holidays.
This is based on data from the Land Transport Authority.
He noted that during certain time belts in the morning and evening peak hours, speeds have at times exceeded the threshold of 65 kilometres per hour.
Mr Lui said traffic conditions along the MCE and its adjoining roads have been smooth as motorists have become familiar with the new road network.
