Spotted: 'Brangelina' in Singapore

The wax replicas of the Hollywood couple, that is. Besides Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, other celebrities to be featured in the upcoming Madame Tussauds museum in Singapore include David Beckham and Lady Gaga.

SINGAPORE: Celebrities Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted at One Fullerton on Wednesday (Aug 27) - or at least their wax figures were.

According to a press release on Thursday, the A-list Hollywood couple's waxworks were among the first to arrive in Singapore, ahead of the opening of Madame Tussauds Singapore on Oct 25.

The figures were created specially for Singapore in Madame Tussauds studio in London, with each wax figure taking approximately three months to produce. The process meant each strand of hair on the figures was inserted individually using a forked needle, while Jolie's eyelashes were also inserted one by one, and all of her tattoos were handpainted.

The Singapore attraction will be located at Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa. Expect to see a mix of local, Asian and international celebrities on display, including Johnny Depp, David Beckham and Lady Gaga. Each figure costs more than S$300,000.

Ms Lily Lim, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Singapore, said: “We are very excited to be opening Madame Tussauds Singapore. This is a world class attraction which draws millions of visitors every year and we have no doubt that it will appeal to both local Singaporeans and international tourists alike."
