Singapore's Subordinate Courts have won the GPEA "World Class Award" for global performance excellence.
SINGAPORE: Singapore's Subordinate Courts have won the GPEA "World Class Award" for global performance excellence.
The Global Performance Excellence Awards (GPEA) are conferred by the Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO), a non-profit organisation founded in 1985 by National Quality Organisations in Asian and Pacific Rim countries.
In 2013, the Subordinate Courts are the only recipient of this award in the "Not-for-Profit" category.
A Subordinate Courts statement said the prestigious award is modelled after the United States Malcolm Baldridge Award, and is only open to organisations that have won their National Quality Awards in the last three years.
The Subordinate Courts attained the Singapore Quality Award in 2006, awarded by SPRING Singapore. It built on that success to attain the Singapore Quality Award with Special Commendation in 2011.
The Global Performance Excellence Awards (GPEA) prize presentation will be held on Sunday, October 6, in Bali, Indonesia as part of the 19th Asia Pacific Quality Conference.
