Investigations show the suspect may be linked to at least eight cases of motorcycle parts theft in Marsiling.
SINGAPORE: A 19-year-old man was arrested on Thursday (Aug 7) for stealing motorcycle component parts, and will be charged in court on Friday, the police said.
Police received reports informing that motorcycle parts were stolen in the vicinity of Marsiling, including brake components of large capacity motorcycles. Following enhanced checks and patrols in the affected areas, officers ascertained the suspect's identity and arrested him in the vicinity of Woodlands on Aug 7, at about 1am.
Preliminary investigations indicate the suspect was involved in at least eight such offences in Marsiling.
The suspect will be charged in court on Aug 8 and could face up to seven years' jail.
