SINGAPORE: Two women were found dead at Block 105 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 on Wednesday morning (June 4).
Police said they received a call at 4.43am requesting for assistance. When they arrived at the scene, they found a woman aged 75-years-old, lying motionless in her unit with multiple stab wounds on the upper half of her body. Another woman, aged 51, was found at the foot of the block.
The two are believed to be mother and daughter, and were living in the same unit.
Both women were pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Channel NewsAsia understands that several knives have been recovered from the scene.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be identified recalled: "My niece said she heard a woman shouting, 'Mum, don't go.' The shouting went on for quite a while, so my niece went back to sleep. But in just a few minutes, she heard three loud sounds, and she thought: 'That's it'."
Another neighbour said: "I saw the older lady just two or three days ago and I remember greeting her. I have not seen her daughter for several months. I have heard that the mother and daughter had difficulty living together."
