UNDP administrator Clark meets PM Lee, ESM Goh

The administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Helen Clark, met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday, the last day of her visit to Singapore

SINGAPORE: The administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Helen Clark met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday, the last day of her visit to Singapore.

Ms Clark was in Singapore to attend the 2014 World Cities Summit.

Mr Lee and Ms Clark agreed that the UNDP Global Centre for Public Service Excellence, established in Singapore in 2012, was doing well.

They discussed ways to further enhance cooperation between Singapore and the UNDP.

Earlier, Ms Clark also met with Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, and updated him on the work of UNDP.

Mr Goh expressed appreciation for the UNDP's role in facilitating sustainable development.
