Parliament sits next Monday after mid-term break

Monday’s session will see the introduction of the Radiation Protection (Amendment) Bill. 

SINGAPORE: Parliament will sit on Monday (May 26), following its re-opening after the traditional mid-term break.

Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Member of Parliament for Chua Chu Kang, will be giving an Address of Thanks for the speech delivered by President Tony Tan Keng Yam on May 16.

Dr Tan laid out six broad goals for the Government: Strengthening safety nets, enhancing retirement adequacy, supporting families and communities, creating a better quality life for Singaporeans and opportunities for adults to have a fulfilling career, and enabling young Singaporeans to fulfil their potential.

Monday's session will see the introduction of the Radiation Protection (Amendment) Bill by Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Vivian Balakrishnan.
