SINGAPORE: The Singapore Aquatics team taking part in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea have been given a rousing send-off.
Forty athletes from swimming, water polo and diving were at the OCBC Aquatic Centre on Saturday (Aug 30). The Singaporean athletes were raring to make a splash at the Games, which begins on Sep 19.
Some parents joined in and marked the occasion by pinning the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) flag collar pin for their children.
Ahead of the Games, the swimmers are heading to a training camp in Nara, Japan from Sep 10-16.
Joseph Schooling and Tao Li, who are based in the US, are the Singapore swimmers with medal potential for this Games. Tao Li won the Republic's only medals, a gold and silver, at the 2010 Games.
