Bowling: Two more medals for Singapore at Asian Schools championships

Singapore ended the final day of the 15th Asian Schools Bowling Championships with two more medals.

SINGAPORE: Singapore ended the final day of the 15th Asian Schools Bowling Championships with two more medals.

Iliya Syamim won a silver and Daphne Oh added another bronze for Singapore at the Girl's Masters Finals on Sunday.

This brings the Republic's total tally at the event in Jakarta to seven medals - two gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

But the team could not match the seven gold medals won at the last championship two years ago.

That championship, also in Indonesia, saw Singapore amassing a total of 12 medals - seven gold, three silver and two bronze, placing the Republic top among the seven competing nations.

The 2014 team, which returns home on Monday, is relatively new, with only a few having prior experience at this competition.
