SINGAPORE: Sweden have swept both the men's and women's titles at the inaugural World University Floorball Championships (WUFC)

The event, held at the new OCBC Arena within the Singapore Sports Hub, attracted more than 15,000 spectators over the past five days.

Sweden routed Switzerland 6-2 in the men's final to win gold. The victory also ensured they would leave the tournament without losing a single match.

In the third-place match, Finland beat the Czech Republic 7-6.

It was more dramatic in the women's final as Sweden slugged it out with Finland.

With the scores tied at seven-all at the end of the extra period, it went to penalties and the Swedes held their nerves to win.

Meanwhile, Singapore's women lost 7-0 to Switzerland in the third-place match.
