SINGAPORE: The LionsXII will need to win the Malaysia Cup Group D match against Sarawak at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Wednesday.
The victory will get them three points and in turn, keep their hopes of qualifying for the quarter finals alive.
The LionsXII are third out of four teams and are trailing group leaders Sarawak and second place Perak by three points.
Both Sarawak and Perak have seven points each but Sarawak is top of the table due to a better goal margin.
Though he may be facing a lot of pressure, head coach V Sundramoorthy said that he has faith in his team.
He said: “I believe the boys are really hungry to win this game and I feel that we have a good bunch of boys who can do the job."
