Golf: Kaymer up to 11 in world rankings

Martin Kaymer is up to 11th place in the world rankings following his runaway win in the US Open at Pinehurst on Sunday.

LONDON. Martin Kaymer is up to 11th place in the world rankings following his runaway win in the US Open at Pinehurst on Sunday.

The 29-year-old German led the tournament from start to finish to bag his second major after the 2010 PGA Championship.

A former world number one, Kaymer struggled badly after winning his first major and at one stage he fell out of the world top 60 as he took on board changes to his swing.

Australia's Adam Scott retained the world number one spot ahead of Henrik Stenson of Sweden and Masters champion Bubba Watson.
