MIKOLAJKI, Poland: World champion Sebastien Ogier, driving a Volkswagen Polo-R, consolidated his lead of the Rally of Poland to 19 seconds over Norwegian teammate Andreas Mikkelsen after 15 stages on Saturday.

Ogier, 30, began the third day of four less than a second ahead of Mikkelsen but took advantage of a mistake by the Scandinavian in the second super special of the day to move clear at the front.

"I had to go on the attack because Andreas was going well," said the Frenchman.

Finland's Juho Hanninen in a Hyundai was third overall but 1min 52.3sec adrift heading into the day's final five stages.

Belgian Thierry Neuville was fourth at 2min 08sec in a Ford Fiesta with Finn Mikko Hirvonen a further 1.7sec back in the second Ford, and home favourite Robert Kubica in sixth spot at 2min 39.8sec, also in a Ford.

Sunday's final day will feature four specials to determine the winner of the Poland race that is marking it's return to the world championship circuit.
