Singapore's Andrew Tang has won the 2014 Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand, making him the first Singaporean to win a premier international race for aspiring F1 drivers.

SINGAPORE: Singapore's Andrew Tang has won the 2014 Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand, making him the first Singaporean to win a premier international race for aspiring F1 drivers.

Tang is the first non-Kiwi champion in 10 years of the five-round, 15-race open wheel championship.

The 19-year-old has stood on the podium eight times in the 15 races.

The 2014 series has 23 drivers from 14 countries.
