Triathlon: Special Olympics athletes compete in Milo Youth Triathlon

For the first time, Special Olympics Singapore athletes were invited to compete in the Milo Youth Triathlon.

SINGAPORE: For the first time, Special Olympics Singapore athletes were invited to compete in the Milo Youth Triathlon -- as the event marked the International Year of the Family in Singapore.

Participants aged between 10 and 20 years, competed in the 6th edition of the race at Changi Beach this morning.

Three challenges awaited them: swimming, cycling and running.

For the Special Olympics athletes, their families joined in to compete as teams in a relay race.

Ms Low Yen Ling, Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development, flagged off the family teams and also joined them for part of the race.
