Japan thrashed Iran 12-3 in the final at the Toa Payoh Swimming Complex to finish top in the 10-team competition.
However, their female colleagues could not replicate that success, losing to China 5-11 in the final.
Singapore's boys team finished in seventh position after they defeated Sri Lanka 17-8.
However, the newly-formed Singapore's girls team lost to Sri Lanka 14-15 to finish last among the seven nations taking part in the girls' competition.
