Qantas flight to Melbourne diverted to Singapore

SINGAPORE: A Qantas flight bound for Melbourne from Dubai was diverted to Singapore on Thursday afternoon (May 28). 

The airline's spokesperson said Qantas QF10 was diverted due to a medical emergency involving a passenger, and the flight landed in Singaopre at 3.15pm Singapore time.

Channel NewsAsia understands that the passenger on board the A380 suffered a cardiac arrest.

The passenger disembarked in Singapore and the flight departed for Melbourne just after 5pm. It will land in Melbourne at around 2am local time, about five and a half hours after schedule.

QF10 left Dubai at 1.40am local time, and was originally due in Melbourne 8.55pm local time.
