Canadian police on Wednesday embarked on a manhunt after at least two people were shot in New Brunswick.

TORONTO: Canadian police on Wednesday embarked on a manhunt after at least two people were shot in New Brunswick.

According to CBC News, police were looking for 24-year-old Justin Bourque, who was described as “armed and dangerous”.

Residents in Moncton were told to remain in their homes and lock their doors “due to an ongoing shooting in the area”, said CBC News.

Horizon Health Network said on Twitter that Moncton Hospital received two people with gunshot wounds.

The police did not confirm the number of victims.
