Dominique presents the news on Channel NewsAsia, including World Today and Asia Today. He also occasionally co-hosts the channel’s morning programme, Primetime Morning.
Dominique is currently producing Channel NewsAsia’s business programme, Money Mind. He started at the channel in 2000 as a reporter, covering mostly the defence and home affairs beats. During his career, he has had the opportunity to travel to many countries. He counts as his career highlight his assignment to cover Olympics 2008 in Beijing, China. Other high profile news events that he covered included the 2006 military coup in Thailand which saw the overthrow of the Thaksin government, and the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004.
Dominique graduated from Washington State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. He then worked at a TV news station in Vancouver as a reporter, videographer as well as a news presenter.
He loves traveling that involves a plane and a boat ride. As a scuba diver, Dominique is always on the lookout for the next great adventure exploring the oceans. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys cooking, workouts at the gym, music, movies and good food.
